Regenerative Medicine at AARVA
- Treatments that prompt the body’s own repair, rather than covering over the result
- Evidence first: we will tell you when a treatment will not do much for you
- Every plan starts with a consultation with a doctor
Working With What the Body Already Does
Regenerative medicine uses treatments that prompt the body’s own repair processes rather than covering over the result of them. In practice that means energy-based devices, treatments using your own blood-derived cells, and biostimulatory approaches that encourage the skin and tissue to rebuild over the weeks that follow.
It is a field with a lot of noise around it, so here is our position. Regenerative medicine ranges from techniques with a strong and growing evidence base to treatments marketed well ahead of the research. We work at the evidence end of that range. Where a treatment is newer, we will say so, explain what the evidence does and does not yet show, and let you decide with that in front of you.
We do not describe any treatment as a cure, and we do not promise a result, because no doctor honestly can. Every plan starts with a consultation, because the same concern in two people rarely needs the same treatment.
“The most useful thing I can do in a regenerative consultation is be honest about what a treatment will and will not change. People trust the plan more when it starts there.”
Is Regenerative Medicine Right for You?
What people come to us for:
- skin laxity and loss of firmness in the face, neck and body
- fine lines, texture and skin quality, where the aim is healthier skin rather than a changed face
- scarring, including acne scarring
- hair thinning, following assessment of the cause
- joint and soft tissue concerns, where a regenerative approach is appropriate alongside conventional care
Probably not the right first step if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have certain autoimmune or blood conditions, or take particular medicines, which we check at consultation
- want a visible result on the day
- want a treatment booked without an assessment first
Not sure which side you are on? That is exactly what the consultation is for.
Before and After

Our Promise to You
The standards every Aarva patient can expect, whatever they come in for.
- You see a doctor before any treatment is planned.
- You get a written treatment plan to take away, with clear pricing, so you can go ahead on the day or decide in your own time.
- We will tell you if a treatment will not help, even if that means no treatment at all.
- If something does not feel right afterwards, a doctor sees you.
- Your consultation is time with a doctor, set aside just for you.
From First Conversation to Review
Results in regenerative medicine build over weeks to months, and we are honest about that from the start.
The consultation comes first
It is with a doctor. We take a full medical history, because some regenerative treatments are unsuitable with certain conditions or medicines.
We examine and measure
We examine, and photograph where it helps to measure change, then explain the options, including doing nothing yet.
Your plan in writing
The expected number of sessions, the likely timescale for change, the cost and the risks, all before you commit.
We review you
Change builds over weeks to months, and we review you along the way rather than leaving you to guess.
Why a Doctor Leads Your Treatment
Dr Shivani Malhotra, a GP with MBChB and MRCGP, leads regenerative medicine and skin at Aarva. Where a concern touches general health, she works alongside Dr Saptarshi Saha, who holds a postgraduate diploma in clinical dermatology and leads our diagnostics.
Why Patients Choose Aarva
Doctor-led from the first appointment
Every consultation is with a doctor, and every plan is written by a practising GP.
GPs still in practice
Our doctors, Dr Saptarshi Saha, Dr Purti Choudhary and Dr Shivani Malhotra, are GMC-registered GPs who still work in general practice.
One medical record
GP, skin and women’s health care sit on one record, so nothing gets lost between appointments.
It starts with a consultation
A doctor assesses you properly, explains your options and gives you a written treatment plan with clear pricing, so every step that follows is the right one.
Questions Patients Ask About Regenerative Medicine
Cannot see your question? Our doctors are happy to talk it through.
Treatments that stimulate the body’s own repair and renewal, rather than adding volume or covering over a concern. The change builds over time as the tissue responds.
There is overlap, but the starting point is different. We begin with a medical assessment of why the skin or tissue is behaving as it is, and the treatment follows from that.
It depends on the treatment and on you. Most plans involve a short course followed by maintenance, and we set that out in writing before you commit to anything.
Typically over weeks to months rather than immediately. We tell you what to expect and when, and we review you along the way.
All regenerative treatments carry some risk. Common short-term effects include redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness at the treatment site, usually settling within days. Less common risks depend on the treatment and are explained in full at consultation and again in your written plan before you consent.
No. Every regenerative treatment at Aarva follows a consultation with a doctor, because suitability has to be assessed first.
Come With the Problem, Not the Treatment
You do not need to know which treatment you want. Tell us what is bothering you, and a doctor will look properly and plan it with you.
