Founded by doctors.
Run by doctors.
Aarva was founded by two practising GPs who between them cover general practice, diagnostics, regenerative medicine and skin. Every patient starts with a doctor, and every treatment plan is written by one. Our medicine is ethical and evidence-based, and nobody here works to someone else’s protocol.
Dr Saptarshi Saha
Saptarshi has been a GP since 2007 and trains the next generation of them. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, holds a postgraduate diploma in dermatology with distinction, and is skilled in minor surgery and joint injections. Alongside Aarva he is a GP trainer and senior GP partner at Langton Medical Group, and a former clinical director of Lichfield Primary Care Network, so he has spent as many years on the running of general practice as on the practice of it.
His interest is in the appointment that is long enough to find the actual problem, and in catching things early rather than managing them late.
Away from work he is a serious hiker. Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro, the Margherita Hut and Mount Toubkal are all behind him. He is also a whisky enthusiast and a car enthusiast, in roughly that order.
Dr Shivani Malhotra
Shivani is a GP with MBChB and MRCGP. At Aarva she oversees every patient’s treatment journey, building each plan and leading our longevity, regenerative medicine and women’s health work.
Her view is that skin is a medical question before it is a cosmetic one, and that the assessment matters more than the device. Every plan she writes starts with a history, not a menu.
She is a mum of two, an avid reader, and pays more attention to what people are wearing than she admits.
“The one thing I have never stopped wanting is time. Time to hear the whole story, and to find the actual problem rather than the first one on the list.”

How we keep our standards
The same checks that apply to every doctor in NHS practice apply here, plus a few of our own.

All three of our doctors are on the GMC’s GP Register with a current licence to practise, and still work in NHS general practice. Dr Saptarshi Saha, GMC 5201339. Dr Shivani Malhotra, GMC 7461490. Dr Purti Choudhary, GMC 6121034.
