An Appointment Long Enough to Get to the Heart of the Issue
A GP appointment at Aarva is long enough to get to the heart of the issue. You choose a 15 or 30 minute appointment at a time that suits you, and you will see a doctor who has your medical history in front of them. If something needs investigating, we can often arrange it without delay. Every decision is guided by ethical, evidence-based medicine.
We help with anything a doctor can look at: the everyday concerns, the symptoms that have lingered for too long, and the problems that have been dismissed before. Blood tests, minor surgical procedures and joint injections are all available on site. If you need imaging, we refer you and the results come back to us, so your care stays in one place.
Aarva works alongside, not instead of, NHS care. We do not ask you to leave your NHS GP. With your consent, we write to your NHS practice after your appointment so your records remain complete. If you need a service we do not provide, we will refer you to the most appropriate specialist or service with a clear, detailed clinical letter.
“The patients I think about most are the ones who have been told twice that it is nothing. Sometimes it is nothing. But you deserve a doctor with the time to be sure.”
What We See People For
We see people for:
- anything a doctor can look at, from a cough, a cold or a new pain to more complex problems
- symptoms that have not been properly explained, or that keep coming back
- health checks and screening, including cholesterol, diabetes, thyroid, liver and kidney function, and full blood counts
- men’s health, including prostate, testosterone and sexual health
- joint and musculoskeletal pain, including steroid and joint injections
- skin lesions, moles and minor surgery, including removal where appropriate
- mental health, sleep and fatigue, with the time to talk about it properly
- a second opinion on a diagnosis or a treatment plan you have been given elsewhere
What we do not do:
- emergency care: for chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke or severe bleeding, call 999
- treatment for anyone under sixteen without a parent or guardian present
In an emergency, always call 999.

Our Promise to You
The standards every Aarva patient can expect, whatever they come in for.
- You see a GP, every time.
- You know the price before you book, and you choose a 15 or 30 minute appointment.
- Your plan is made with you in the appointment, there and then.
- Blood test and imaging results are shared with you as soon as they are back.
- Your consultation is time with a doctor, set aside just for you.
From Booking to Your Results
Four simple steps, with the same doctor from your first appointment to your results.
Request an appointment online or by phone
Choose a 15 or 30 minute appointment and tell us when suits you, and we will confirm a time. New patients need no referral from a GP or any other service.
Your appointment
Unhurried time with a GP. We take a full history, examine, and explain what we think.
Investigation, if needed
Bloods are taken here and most results are back within a few working days. If you need imaging, we refer you to the right provider and the results come back to us.
Your results
Results are emailed to you and are visible in your medical notes. If a result is abnormal, we will advise you to book a follow-up, and you are welcome to book one in any case.
GPs Who Still Practise
Dr Saptarshi Saha, a GP since 2007, Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and senior GP partner at Langton Medical Group. Dr Purti Choudhary, a GP of fifteen years and Chief Medical Officer at Langton Medical Group. Dr Shivani Malhotra, a GP and a founder of Aarva. All three continue to practise in the NHS, and you will see the same doctor at follow-up wherever we can arrange it.
Why Patients Choose Aarva
Doctor-led from the first appointment
Every consultation is with a doctor, and every plan is written by a practising GP.
GPs still in practice
Our doctors, Dr Saptarshi Saha, Dr Purti Choudhary and Dr Shivani Malhotra, are GMC-registered GPs who still work in general practice.
One medical record
GP, skin and women’s health care sit on one record, so nothing gets lost between appointments.
It starts with a consultation
A doctor assesses you properly, explains your options and agrees the next steps with you there and then, so every step that follows is the right one.
Questions Patients Ask About Private GP Appointments
Cannot see your question? Our doctors are happy to talk it through.
Our introductory prices are £60 for a 15-minute GP appointment and £100 for a 30-minute appointment. Blood tests depend on the tests needed and are always quoted before anything is taken, and minor surgery and joint injections are quoted after consultation.
You do not need to leave your NHS GP, and you do not need a referral. Like every medical practice, we register all new patients before their first appointment, which includes confirming your identity.
We hold same-week appointments for new patients and aim to offer a slot within a few working days. Urgent same-day appointments are available when the diary allows.
Yes. If you need a consultant we do not have, we refer you privately or, where appropriate, ask your NHS GP to refer you, and we send a full letter either way.
Only if you want them to. We recommend it, so your records stay in one place, but we write to them only with your consent.
Yes. Where a private prescription is appropriate, it is issued after a consultation, and that includes repeat prescriptions.
Results are emailed to you and are visible in your medical notes. If a result is abnormal, we will advise you to book a follow-up, and you are welcome to book one in any case.
You are welcome to ask your insurer whether your cover includes our services. We are working on arrangements with the main insurance companies.
Aarva is in the process of registering with the Care Quality Commission, and all our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council with a current licence to practise.
Come With the Problem, Not the Diagnosis
You do not need a referral or a diagnosis to book. Tell us what is going on, and a doctor will take the time to get to the bottom of it. Private GP appointments open once our Care Quality Commission registration is complete. Join the waitlist and we will contact you as soon as booking opens.
